Students Visit Fire Station and Sheriff's Office

Earlier this week the Preschool and Kindergarten classes enjoyed a beautiful fall morning and took a walk downtown.  National Fire Prevention Week is observed every year in October, and in keeping with that theme, the students visited the Stapleton Volunteer Fire Department.  They listened carefully as the firemen spoke about fire safety.  They were able to see some of the equipment used to fight fires, and also some of the emergency response equipment.  The two classes also made a stop at the Logan County Sheriff's office and visited with both Sheriff Carson and Deputy Wood.
