Driver's Ed 2022

Driver's Education will be held on May 24th-27th 9-12am and 1-3pm each day in the Stapleton Public School Library or Mrs. Victory's resource room depending on the number of students.  This is available free to any student age 14 on up. This will be the instruction portion of the class in which students will need 25 hours of classroom time. After instruction the student will receive a certificate in order for parents to send to insurance companies for cheaper insurance for their child. Then I will set up times to drive with students. The minimum time I have to drive with each student is 5 hours. Students will be driving without any other students present in the vehicle. Students must have their learners permit to be able to drive with me. Practice tests to get a learners permit are located on https://www.nebraska.gov/dmv/practice/ if students memorize the questions and answers and practice over and over they will pass the written test at the dmv in North Platte or when it come to Logan county once a month. After driving at least 5 hours students will receive an online waiver to take to the courthouse to get a license. Students also do the drive test with me and not the dmv instructors. Students 14 to 15 will receive a school permit in which they can drive to any school activity on their own. 16 year olds will receive a provisional operator's permit (POP) waiver in which they can drive on their own and till certain times at night. 18 year olds receive their class O. I will be giving sign up forms and paperwork to each eligible student at school.
