Booster Club

Dear Stapleton Families,

As parents, we all want our children to thrive in an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated. For many years, the Stapleton Booster Club has played a vital role in fostering school spirit and supporting our students, teachers, and coaches. Unfortunately, we have reached a critical point where we need your help to keep this organization going.

At this time, our leadership team consists of only a couple of people. While I had hoped to remain active, not having kids in school and my schedule makes it difficult to stay connected to daily school events. Additionally, due to professional obligations, I am unable to provide hands-on assistance until after April 15.

What We Do (and Why It’s Manageable)

Many people assume the Booster Club requires a large time commitment. In reality, our workload is very focused. We do not host labor-intensive fundraisers—our primary income comes from generous sign sponsors. Our main activities include:

  • Boosting Morale: Hosting Teacher Appreciation events every couple of months and organizing Teacher Appreciation Week.

  • Supporting Staff and Coaches: Providing funding support for classroom and program needs through teacher and coach requests.

  • Celebrating Students: Helping organize the year-end Athletic Banquet, assisting with the Academic Banquet, and supporting beginning-of-year events such as a Welcome Back or Soap Scrimmage gathering.

Why Join the Booster Club?

Being involved offers meaningful rewards beyond volunteering:

  1. Direct Impact: You see firsthand the appreciation from teachers and the excitement of students during sponsored events.

  2. Stronger Student Support: Research shows students feel more supported when parents are involved in their school community.

  3. Connection & Awareness: Stay informed about school activities and build relationships with staff and administration.

  4. Community Building: Meet other parents and work together to make Stapleton Public Schools the best they can be.

We are truly asking for volunteers to step forward. Whether you can take on a leadership role or help for just a few hours, your involvement is essential. Without additional support, we will not be able to sustain the programs that positively impact our students and staff.

Ways You Can Help

  • Serve on the board (meetings are informal; many decisions are made via group text).

  • Help prepare appreciation items (snacks, meals, or gifts—expenses are reimbursed).

  • Lead Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

  • Coordinate a banquet (typically just a few hours before and after the event, plus coordination with school staff).

  • Help identify future needs and goals for the school.

  • Assist with sign fundraising.

I am willing to continue serving as Treasurer, including paying bills and preparing financials, for as long as needed.  I will volunteer my time as much as I can.

If you are interested in helping keep the Stapleton Booster Club active, please reach out as soon as possible. Let’s show our kids that we are invested in their school and their success.

Sincerely,

Milissa J. Kramer
