GO MAVERICKS!!

Conference VB Update: Lady Mavericks finish 1-1 on the day. A close 3-set loss to Twin Loup followed by a straight set win verses Arthur County -
The VB team will head to Arthur next Tuesday for a rematch. Go Mavericks!

FB Playoff Update: The Sandhills Valley Mavericks will head to Pleasanton on Thursday, Oct 24th to play at 7pm in the first round of the state playoffs! Congrats to the team and coaches!

Today is last day of the first quarter. We have had to expand our RARE board to two boards because we have so many students with great RARE qualities. At parent conferences please check the board and see how amazing all Stapleton students are. We will continue to add to the board 2nd semester.
We have 2 more 3rd grade and 2 kindergarten students who have earned RARE awards. The first 3rd grade student is Responsible. He is organized and keeps his space very organized. The second 3rd grade student is Responsible. She comes to class prepared consistently, gets her planner signed, and works hard to reach her goals.
The first Kindergarten student is Empathetic. She is caring and helpful to all of the classmates. The second Kindergarten students is Respectful. He shows respect by following directions. What amazing students we have at Stapleton Public Schools!

Updated MNAC VB Bracket. Lady Mavericks play at 10am vs Twin Loup in Broken Bow on Saturday.

District XC Update: Senior Keith Morash has a Top 10 finish in the D-6 XC Districts today in Grant! Congrats Keith!!!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: Due to playoff football on Thursday, October 24th, there is a chance that we may change the schedule. One idea is to end conferences earlier on Thursday and reschedule the afternoon/evening portion for another day. Please stay tuned. We'll send out a notification as soon as possible.

We had 3 third grade boys earn RARE awards at the end of the day yesterday. Their parents were called and they were awarded their RARE bracelets today. The first young man is quick to say thank you when anything is passed out in class. The second, is very thoughtful of others and loves to help out his classmates. The third young man is prepared for class each day, gets his planner signed consistently, and works hard to reach his goals. These 3 are amazing young students!

Maverick Fans: Tomorrow, Oct 17th is a busy day for Maverick Athletics. Schedule of events is listed below: (All times listed are CST)
4:00 pm - XC Districts in Grant (Pheasant Run Golf Course)
5:30 pm - VB MNAC Tournament First Round at Anselmo-Merna
7:00 pm - FB vs Pleasanton in Tryon (Parents night for FB to follow)

These 2 young men earned RARE awards yesterday. They are both 1st grade students. Mrs. Joedeman recognizes the RARE qualities in the 1st young man. He was carrying his mom's things up the stairs for her and took a tumble, which resulted in coffee spilling all over the landing. He then worked hard to clean up the mess. He said it was his fault and he needed to clean it up. He was wonderfully Accountable! The 2nd young man earned his award for being Empathetic. Mrs. Klosen chose him for the award because he helped another student pick up the things she dropped and was very kind to her.

This young man received the RARE award for Accountability. He uses his class time wisely to complete his tasks. It is so great to see his smile each morning.

Reminder: The great book swap is happening at Stapleton Public Schools tomorrow during the JV Volleyball game. Bring a book to donate and receive free admission the game! Or bring a book to swap out with one we currently have. See flyer for details!

This young lady is our first RARE award earner of the week. She earned this award for being Empathetic. She helped another student organize his notebook and encouraged him to put his papers in his notebook when they are given to him so it remains neat. It is so nice to see the students help each other.

We had a RARE award last week that did not get posted. This young man is very responsible and does his homework and classwork. He is also nice to his peers. Congratulations!
