I want to review the lunchroom expectations with everyone so you can review them with your children at home. I reviewed them in school today.
Walk to the lunchroom
Stay in line while going through the lunch line.
If you purchased a hot lunch you may go through the salad bar.
If you brought your lunch you may use silverware, napkins, and sauces such as ketchup and salad dressing from the cafeteria.
Focus on eating.
Use an inside voice when talking to friends at your table.
Throw trash in the trash can.
Put the tray and silverware in the tray window when finished eating.
The sweeper and wiper will clean the floor and table
Wait in line until dismissed.

Sandhills Mavericks Community,
We have made the unfortunate decision to cancel our Junior High Football season for the 2024-2025 school year.
We are at limited numbers in the 7th and 8th grade this year and we do not feel it is appropriate to field a junior high team of mostly 6th grade students.
We highly encourage all interested 6th grade student athletes to participate in our SVM youth football program. We also have JH Cross Country that is available for students to participate in - they practice after school.
Our 7th and 8th grade students will still practice football and volleyball during their physical education time.

REMINDER: - Tomorrow, Aug 12th - Open House from 3:30pm-6:00pm.
Class of 2025 Senior Parents Meeting at 6:15pm in main gym.
It will also be the first official day of fall practices for high school sports with practices beginning at 4:00pm.
Parents our North Platte bus route is near capacity for the 2024/2025 school year. To ensure we can accommodate students that rely on this as their primary transportation we may not be able to assist parents with irregular rides to North Platte for other activities.
CLASS of 2025 PARENTS: Please join Mrs. Joedeman and Mr. Johnson on Monday evening Aug 12th at 6:15pm (after open house) in the main gym for a parent meeting regarding many topics relevant to your students' senior year. Including - dual credit classes, senior trip, graduation, and much more. Thank you

Our maintenance crew has done a fantastic job of getting the building and grounds in tiptop shape... come see how great everything looks! Teachers and administrators will be on hand to meet and greet students and families. This is a great opportunity to ask questions or finish filling out any paperwork.

For those that do not know, Free and Reduced numbers help our school with financial aid, if you think you may qualify, I encourage you to fill out an application! JH Open Gym Volleyball: A glimpse into the future tonight - 11 Lady Mavericks participating in skill development - passing and serving. Thank you to the players and parents for your drive to improve these crucial skills!
Team camps are supposed to be about team building, bonding, and adventure. Our Lady Mavericks Volleyball team certainly rose to that challenge this week in Ogallala. From hitchhiking rodents, to malfunctioning shower handles - snacks galore, sofas, movies - to marketing the latest the greatest in agricultural motorized equipment - taking time to chat up local law enforcement and all the "pets" a puppy could ask for! Not to mention surviving in a gym disguised as a sauna... The wins and losses in competition will soon be forgotten, but the memories made and stories shared will live on forever... Thank you ladies and coaches for your dedication to improving and your willingness to represent all of the Maverick Community! Keep up the great work!
