Today is Earth Day! Kindergarten through 3rd grades walked up to the Recycling Center on J Street to learn about recycling. Jack Brummet talked to the students about baling cardboard, and shared a lot of fun facts. -Each cardboard bale is 2,000 pounds. -It takes 24 bales for a full load on a semi. -It takes 2 to 2.5 weeks to make a whole bale. -Only four more bales are needed for another semi load! -Recycling brings in money for our Village, and trash costs our Village more money. Recycling saves our environment and our money!

NO ACTIVITY VAN TONIGHT: Due to meetings after school/this evening there will be NO activity van tonight. Please make plans accordingly.

This afternoon, the elementary kids were treated by a special recess with some of the big kids. This was the reward for the change drive for the firemen we did a few weeks ago. The games and activities were led by our Student Council and NHS members.

NEXT FRIDAYS SCHEDULE: Due to weather, Friday's MNAC Jr&Sr High Track meets may be rescheduled to Thursday. If the meet is moved to Thursday, we are planning to have regular school days on Thursday and Friday. We will no more as the week progresses. Stay Tuned.

Bring on the sparkle! Bring on the glam! It's time for prom. The junior class has been hard at work, preparing for "A Night in Ancient Greece." The community is encouraged to come to the main gym at 6:15 pm to allow the Grand March to begin promptly at 6:30 pm.

Congrats to the JH SVM track teams today. JH boys placed first overall at the Hershey/NPSP meet and the girls finished second overall. Way to go Mavericks!

NO SCHOOL , Friday, April 26th: Due to the Jr. & Sr. High conf. track meets, and lack of sub. teachers, there will no school for students on Fri, April 26th. The 3rd-4th grade field trip will still be held. Teachers will have the option of attending the track meets and/or reporting to school for a work day.

SVM Athletic banquet is scheduled for May 2nd 2024 at 6pm in the Bronco Room at SPS. Please see the agenda and meal list below. If you have any questions please let Mr. Johnson know.
