Physical Science students learned that 5+5 does not always equal 10. Students combined 5 mL of water with 5 mL of Ethanol. They were suprised to find the only got around 9.6 mL. What happened? Thats what they had to figure out.

We missed some students the first time!! They all deserve to be celebrated. Here is the updated Honor Roll for the 3rd Quarter. Congrats to all!

Due to state FFA, the track team will not be attending the Perkins County track meet next Friday. They will be attending the Sutherland track meet on Saturday, April 1st instead.

Congratulations to the Stapleton Speech Team on finishing out their 2023 season!
Cayson Johnston brought home a state medal for Stapleton, receiving 6th place in Extemporaneous Speaking! This was Cayson’s first trip to State Speech. Extemp is a tough event, where the competitors are required to write a 5-7 minute argumentative speech on a drawn topic, usually political in nature. Cayson had to write and perform FOUR speeches yesterday to receive his 6th place medal!
The other students performed very well against some very tough competition in their 3 preliminary rounds. Tessa Hansen nearly made finals in POI, which was decided by a tie breaker, receiving 7th place overall. Tad Dimmit was also very close to making finals in Persuasive Speaking, receiving 8th place overall. This was Tessa and Tad’s second year at State Speech but they were competing in different events. Also competing for their first year at state were Emma Nicholson in Poetry, and Cameron Berliner in Serious Prose.
